BODDi Privacy Policy

BODDi respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, where it may be stored or processed, how it is protected, and what choices you have when you use the BODDi app.
BODDi provides wellness, habit, fitness, nutrition, progress-tracking, and body-awareness tools for informational purposes only. BODDi is not a medical service and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency support.

BODDi can be used without creating an account for certain core features.
If you choose to sign in or create an account, BODDi may collect account information and store certain account-related data through trusted providers.
Camera and AI-powered features may process meal images, meal descriptions, or wellness inputs to generate estimates or guidance.
BODDi uses third-party service providers including Supabase, RevenueCat, Apple, AppsFlyer, and artificial intelligence service providers.
BODDi does not sell your personal information.
BODDi does not use your wellness data to target advertising.
You may request access, correction, or deletion of your information.
We collect information you provide directly, information generated through your use of the app, information needed to operate subscriptions, and information needed to support app functionality.
Account Data
If you choose to create, connect, or sign in to a BODDi account, we may collect:

Apple private relay email address, if you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email
User ID
Login/authentication information
Account status
Profile information
Sign-in provider information
BODDi does not require account creation for every feature. However, some account-connected, cloud-connected, subscription, or future sync features may require sign-in.

Depending on how you use the app, BODDi may collect or store:

Camera, Photo, and AI Feature Data
If you use camera, photo, meal-estimation, or AI-powered features, BODDi may collect or process:
Food or meal images you choose to capture or upload
Meal descriptions
Image-derived meal information
Estimated calories
Estimated protein, carbohydrates, fat, or other nutrition-related information
AI-generated summaries, estimates, suggestions, or guidance
User prompts, notes, or inputs submitted to AI-powered features
BODDi only accesses your camera or selected photos when you grant permission and choose to use those features. You may change camera or photo permissions through your device settings.
Camera-based and AI-generated results are estimates only. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your personal needs. You should review and edit estimates before relying on or saving them.
Food Search and Nutrition Lookup Data
If you use BODDi’s Food Search feature, BODDi may transmit the food names or search terms you enter, selected food or serving information, and technical request information needed to operate the feature.
This information may be processed through BODDi’s backend and third-party food and nutrition data providers to:
Return food search results
Provide serving and portion information
Provide calorie and macronutrient information
Retrieve nutrition details for a selected food
Enforce request limits
Prevent abuse or excessive automated requests
Troubleshoot and maintain the Food Search service
BODDi currently uses Supabase for backend processing and API routing, Edamam for food and nutrition lookup information, and Upstash for rate-limiting infrastructure.
Food and nutrition information returned through Food Search may be incomplete or inaccurate. You should review nutrition information before saving or relying on it.
Usage Data
BODDi may collect information about how the app is used, including:

BODDi may collect technical information needed to operate, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the app, including:

BODDi does not directly collect or store your full payment card information. App Store payments and billing are processed by Apple.

BODDi does not use your wellness, health, fitness, meal, weight, hydration, check-in, or progress data for targeted advertising.
Processing meal images, meal descriptions, prompts, or wellness inputs to generate estimates, summaries, or guidance.
Where Data Is Stored or Processed

BODDi stores some wellness and tracking information locally on your device. If you sign in to a BODDi account, certain profile and progress information may also be synchronized or restored through BODDi’s backend services. Depending on the feature, this may include profile settings, current and goal weight information, weight history, progress information, streak information, and system or program-related preferences.
Not all BODDi information is necessarily cloud-synchronized. Some information may remain stored only on your device. If you uninstall the app, locally stored data may be permanently deleted and unrecoverable.
If you create an account, use cloud-connected features, use AI-powered features, subscribe, or use features that require backend processing, some information may also be transmitted to, stored by, or processed through trusted third-party service providers.
BODDi may use the following providers:

Authentication, database services, backend operations, Edge Functions and API routing, secure storage, account-related functionality, and certain profile or progress synchronization features.
RevenueCat
Subscription management, purchase validation, entitlement status, and paid access control.
Apple
Sign in with Apple, App Store payments, billing, subscriptions, private relay email, and account-related services.
AI service providers
Processes App Store payments, subscriptions, billing, and account data.
These services process only the data necessary to operate the app.Edamam
Food and nutrition database services, including food search, serving information, portion information, calorie information, macronutrient information, and nutrition lookup functionality.
Upstash
Backend infrastructure used for request rate limiting, abuse prevention, and reliability of certain server-processed features such as Food Search.
AppsFlyer
Install attribution, campaign measurement, app activity analytics, and marketing performance measurement.
These providers process information only as needed to provide app functionality, authentication, storage, subscriptions, payments, attribution, analytics, AI-powered features, security, legal compliance, or support.Artificial Intelligence Features
BODDi may use artificial intelligence to support features such as meal estimation, wellness guidance, summaries, insights, or progress-related suggestions.
AI-generated information is provided for educational and informational purposes only. AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unsuitable for your personal health needs.
BODDi does not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated calorie, macronutrient, meal, fitness, habit, or wellness estimates.
You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated outputs before relying on them. BODDi is not responsible for decisions made based solely on AI-generated information.
Do not use BODDi as a replacement for professional medical, nutrition, fitness, mental health, or emergency advice.
HEALTH & WELLNESS NOTICE
BODDi is not a medical device, medical service, healthcare provider, dietitian, nutritionist, personal trainer, or emergency service.
The app provides wellness, fitness, nutrition, habit, and progress-tracking information for educational and informational purposes only.
Always consult a licensed healthcare professional before starting a fitness, nutrition, wellness, or weight-management program, especially if you have a medical condition, injury, are pregnant, take medication, have a history of disordered eating, or have any health concerns.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call emergency services immediately.
BODDi does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.
DATA SHARING
BODDi may share limited information only when necessary to:
Operate the app
Provide account and authentication features
Store user data securely
Generate AI-powered estimates or guidance
Manage subscriptions, purchases, and paid access
Process App Store payments and billing
Measure installs, attribution, and campaign performance
Improve app performance, stability, and usability

DATA SECURITY
BODDi takes reasonable steps to protect your information using trusted service providers, access controls, secure technology practices, and limited data access.
No digital system is completely risk-free. BODDi cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, misuse, loss, disclosure, or security incidents will never occur. However, BODDi works to protect user information from unauthorized access, misuse, loss, or disclosure.
Data Storage, Retention, and Deletion
BODDi stores some information locally on your device. If you uninstall the app, locally stored data may be permanently deleted and unrecoverable.
If you create or connect an account, some account-related information may be stored through BODDi’s backend providers.
BODDi keeps information only for as long as needed to operate the app, provide features, manage subscriptions, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, protect security, and support legitimate business operations.
You may delete your BODDi account from inside the app where account deletion is available.
Deleting your BODDi account removes your account record and associated personal data unless BODDi is required or permitted to retain certain information for legal, security, subscription, billing, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or operational reasons.
Deleting your BODDi account does not automatically cancel an active Apple App Store subscription. You must manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple account or App Store subscription settings.
Deleting the app from your device does not automatically delete all account information stored with BODDi’s service providers and does not automatically cancel your subscription.
Your Choices and Rights
You may contact BODDi to:
Request access to your information
Request correction of inaccurate information
Request deletion of your information
Ask questions about privacy or data use
Request information about how your data is used or shared
Some information may need to be retained for legal, security, subscription, billing, tax, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or operational reasons.
You may also control certain permissions through your device settings, including camera, photo, and notification permissions.
CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
BODDi is not intended for children under 13 years old.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to BODDi, contact us so we can review and delete the information if required.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
BODDi may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
When updates are made, the effective date will be revised.
Continued use of BODDi after changes are posted means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
